MaryJane Werley (Jane Bechtel), has been in the food service industry for 40+ years. Growing up her late mother Donna Bechtel also had a career in food service. Donna had owned the Dutch Diner in Palmyra. It was quite a big operation and people would flood the place for a taste of Donna’s cooking. Naturally Jane worked right beside her, after the close of the Dutch Diner due to a fire, Donna retired from food service. However Jane continued her path. She served at various restaurants while raising her three children.

Jennifer Stretch, Jane’s youngest daughter was sure to follow her footsteps and started in the food service at the early age of 14. While gaining experience in the front and back of the house and various other food service positions the ladies knew that eventually they would go into business for themselves.

In 2009 Jane and Jennifer decided to buy an old food truck. The named it MaryJane’s Good Food on the Go. It didn’t take long for them to earn some valuable customers with their home-style cooking and hand carved sandwiches. Unfortunately with the stress of a new born and the condition of the very old box truck the two of them decided to sell.

Since then the ladies never gave up on the dream of owning their own restaurant. Jennifer was always on the hunt looking for the right opportunity. Sure as God’s will the time has yet again come for them to share with you their passion.
